Liudmila Filippova
Ms. Liudmila Filippova is Program manager at the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). She joined the Council's team in 2011 when it started operating, and now coordinates RIAC efforts on the Arctic, Asia Pacific and Middle East programs. She organized a number of international conferences and Track 1.5/2 dialogues. She is also an editor of a list of RIAC reports and working papers related to, inter alia, Russia-China relations, the Silk Road Economic Belt and international cooperation in the Arctic.
Liudmila Filippova graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) with a BA degree in Political Science. She holds an MSc degree in Global Finance from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and is currently pursuing her PhD in Political Science at MGIMO-University. Her master’s dissertation drew heavily on empirical research on the relationship between political events and stock performance of public companies operating in the Arctic, and her PhD is devoted to the positions and strategies of the Observer states of the Arctic Council regarding the Arctic region.
